Its critical that everybody involved in rigging and lifting operations understands how sling angles effect the amount of tension applied to the slings and hardware as angles decrease. As always, those individuals handling and applying rigging must be qualified, but again, everybody involved in the operation should be aware of the forces applied in order to understand the potential risks.
